Introduction:
Taj Mahal is a world famous monument based on a royal love story of a Mughal
emperor Shah Jahan and his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal in the 17th century.
The Taj Mahal was built as a mausoleum for Mumtaz according to a promise
given to her by Shah Jahan. This mausoleum is full of precious material
input in terms of stones, architecture, talents, sculptures and manpower.
Shah Jahan was a Muslim emperor in India during the period from 1628 to
1658 AD. Taj Mahal is located in Agra at the bank of the river Yamuna. It

The soul ingredient of this historic monument is the presence of the cenotaphs of Mumtaz Mahal and Shah Jahan. The view to the visitors inside the monument is the replica of the cenotaphs. External:
The whole part of the external Taj Mahal is well decorated with crafts,
painting, and sculptures. Almost all the outer surface of the mausoleum
is clad with precious white marbles. The inscriptions and craft of Taj Mahal
are recognized as the best and the finest of all monuments during the era
of Mughals and among other dynasties too. The whole external decorations
can be termed in three different categories as calligraphy, motifs and abstract
geometric elements. Carvings are made on the stone and marble walls. The
hymns of the Khuran are inscribed on the wall surfaces repeatedly. Abstract
forms and figures are found on the surfaces, minarets, plinths, Mosque and
tombs of the monument.
